Country Positions
Terms of Trade: A Mexican Standoff with China
b)
The delay of China’s entry into the WTO, which might have adverse
repercussions for other Southern countries who are looking for political support
from it. c)
The issue of Chinese dumping in the Mexican markets, which is similar to
experiences of India and Japan which have been highlighted in the press lately. d)
The issue of ‘rules of origin’, which China may face, as much of its
exports into Mexico are through third countries, which India will also face
sooner than later. Even our own bed linen exporters are using East European
countries to enter EU markets. |
